Mr Edge sees both insured and self-funding patients. He is registered with all the major insurance companies in England and several abroad.
INSURED PATIENTS
It is usually necessary to have a letter of referal from your GP in order to ensure that the consultation fee and any treatment will be covered by your insurer. Patients are advised to contact their insurer for authorisation number(s) for the consultation and for any tests and treatments suggested.
Some policies include an "excess", for which the patient is responsible.
Where possible, the invoice will be sent directly to the insurance company. If there is an excess on the policy, your insurer will
usually forward this information to you for direct payment to Mr Edge.
SELF-PAY PATIENTS
Mr Edge is happy to see patients who wish to fund their own private consultation and/or further treatment. Fees for consultations and "treatment packages" for surgery are available on request.
Patients should be aware that apart from the consultation fee, various other costs may be incurred as described below.
